The Prudential Tower, Copley / Back Bay, Boston, Massachusetts
Took a nice ride into Boston on Saturday, into the historic Copley / Back Bay area. Lots of stuffy “old money” Brahmins still populate the area. But, it is getting better in terms of the friendliness factor (more specifically, the lack of it) that has plagued the city for years. Took the Polaroid 240, and while the author did receive some strange looks, most likely from those who think film is dead, I did manage to chat it up with a few who were fascinated with the camera, and told me they thought it was a beautiful looking camera. When walking into nearby Ritz Camera, the salespeople were all in awe.
Back to the “Pru”. It is the second tallest building in Boston, at 749 feet. On the 52nd floor is a nice, but overpriced restaurant called “Top Of The Hub”. The building, as part of the Boston skyline, can be seen from the top of Mt. Wachusett in Princeton, MA, on a clear day. And several FM radio stations transmit from the roof, which you can see here. The brownstones on the right are in the Back Bay.
